How It Works
When you create your NFT in the "traditional" way, you mint it directly onto the blockchain. That means you have to pay the gas fee for the transaction on Ethereum, which can be quite costly these days. With our new "Lazy Minting" feature, your NFT isn't minted at the time of creation but at the time of purchase. It's the buyer who pays the gas fees when purchasing the item. Until then, your NFT is listed on the marketplace just like any other NFT, and the data is securely stored on IPFS (decentralized storage). When you create the NFT with lazy minting, you only have to sign the "Minting Authorizations" with your wallet. It's free and ensures that you always retain control over your creations.
